REFLECTIONS

1.Reflection on the Blessed Mother: Since May is the month we honor the Virgin Mary, students should reflect on the great love Mary had for her son, Jesus, and respond on how Mary helps us, her children, today.

2.Reflection on The Ascension of the Lord: In Matthew 28:20, Jesus tells the disciples that he is with them always, until the end of the age. Although Jesus physically left and no longer walks the earth as we do, how and when do we feel that Jesus is present with us in our daily lives?

ACTIVITIES

1.Pray the rosary. You can participate by praying the rosary as a family with the recorded prayer on our St. Priscilla website, or live with Relevant Radio (WNTD 950 AM) at 7:00 pm daily. Also, attached is a Hail Mary Word Search, which can also be used to help students memorize this beautiful prayer to Mary.

2.Activities: Attend Mass via livestream on YouTube on Thursday, May 21, which is the Ascension of the Lord and a Holy Day of Obligation for every Catholic. Visit us.magnificat.net and click on MagnifiKid and view the May issue on-line. It has the readings for the Mass for Ascension Thursday.

3.Also, from MagnifiKid is the Learn To Contemplate The Ascension of the Lord using a famous painting by Italian artist, Andrea Mangegna.

Also, please read the prayer of His Holiness Pope Francis to Mary for the month of May.

REFLECTION

How did the Good Samaritan show what it means to be a good neighbor? List things you can do for others. Try to do one thing you have listed every day and one prayer thanking God to do this good thing.

ACTIVITIES

Attached below are two activities: One is a Rosary Book and the other is a Reconciliation matching game. The matching game has multiple PDF files you have to open for each of the cards.

There is also a daily journal that students can use for reflection. The word can be given to them or they can find a word they want to study in the Bible or a Catholic dictionary.
